Our school is a three-year junior high school for boys and girls aged between 13 and 16.
Location
It is situated in a quiet and leafy area of the small town of Olsztyn near Częstochowa.
The school building is in a nice setting with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. From the school windows you can admire the picturesque ruins of the Olsztyn castle and some limestone hills of the Falcon Mountains.
School building
The school occupies a small but new and modern three-storey building dating from 2004.
There are 9 classrooms, a IT suite with internet access, a library, a teaching staff room and an administrative office with the headteacher’s room. Next to the school building there is a big sports hall.
Students
Our students come from Olsztyn and nearby villages of Przymiłowice, Turów, Bukowno and Biskupice.
There are currently 155 students in our school, who are divided into 7 mixed ability classes (2 or 3 in each year). In our school nobody is anonymous. All students know each other and the staff knows every student.
Apart from obligatory lessons, the school offers some extra curricular activities which include: remedial classes, choir, sports practice. We also have regular events, school trips and visitors to school such as actors, musicians, interesting local people to widen the students’ knowledge and experience.
As far as foreign languages are concerned, our students take classes in English, German and French.
Teachers
The school has a professional teaching staff of 20. All of our qualified and committed teachers are properly certified and hold degrees in their fields. They create a challenging but caring atmosphere in which students become confident and can develop their potential.
